My Day in Music Video

I never know where my inspiration for a new post will come from.  And sometimes, the source surprises even me.  Have you ever yourself on Twitter as soon as you wake up?  That was my morning.  An early thunderstorm had me awake and lying in bed.  I grabbed my phone to shut off the alarm and decided to see what was up with my Tweeps (that's Twitter speak for "friends").  I have to give a shout out to @jetts31 for my inspiration for today's post.  You can check out his blog too.

Very foggy out this morning. My front porch looks like a set piece from a 80's hair band music video.

I can only assume he meant this one, but then I remember it's probably this one.  I started to wonder if I could describe what was going on in my life by using the visual imagery or lyrics of a music video.  I thought about it, and I decided that I woke up in Garth Brooks' video for "The Thunder Rolls" but there is no video available online to show this to you, so I thought about what other songs could describe my morning so far, and here is what I have come up with:

At least the bee girl could make me breakfast. It's the least she could do for prancing around in that ridiculous outfit. Plus, I will need my energy to chase my eighteen month old around the house. She never gets tired, so I will be left saying like the first line of the chorus of this song:



Sometime after lunch, I'll be singing this song to get my daughter to take a nap:



She will eventually wake up and we'll repeat the first part of the day all over again. And by the end of the day, I will feel like the chorus of this song:
