Natty Boh knows how to grow a Mo. |
The Movember movement is about encouraging men to take better care of themselves in general. Don't wait for a crisis to go see your doctor. We need to do a better job (myself included) of living healthy to give ourselves the best chance of reducing those statistics. So, man up, take care of that beautiful man body of yours, and grow a Mo to help raise awareness!
Why does my razor vibrate? |
Mo Sistas? Bros with no Mo? You can support us too! If you are not able to grow a Mo, because of gender, cultural, or genetic restrictions, have no fear, you can still help our team. See that gorgeous hunk on the top right corner of this post? No, not Mr. Natty Boh, the one with the sharp looking glasses and the distinguished looking Mo, right under the words "MAKE A DIFFERENCE!" Click on him, and he will take you to my donation page where you can support our cause! You can also PRINT THIS POSTER to display at your place of employment (but be a good Mo Bro and run it by HR - they shouldn't mind).
More About the Movember Campaign
On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
At the end of the month, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrate their gallantry and valor by either throwing their own Movember party or attending one of the infamous Gala Partés held around the world by Movember, for Movember.
Awareness & Education, Survivorship, Research
The funds raised in the US support prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and our men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Together, the three channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with our strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
Good job and good luck raising money for Movember. Seems like we forget the men sometimes.
ReplyDeleteDidn't fill in the KISSinsights this time. I know you're disappointed.
You know, I wonder who is finding my site by searching for certain words, and I imagine it can only be you. Good luck battling the mommy bloggers. They're brutal!
