Celadon Road Organic Eco-Friendly Products Review & Giveaway

I recently received some products from Natalie, a consultant for Celadon Road to review on the blog.  Before reviewing these products, I had not heard of Celadon Road.  Celadon Road is a green, eco-friendly direct sales company that offers over 400 high quality, organic and sustainable products.  Nearly 80% of their products are made here in the USA and the items that aren't have a story to tell.  For example, their tree free journals are made from a fair trade women's co-op in India.  In addition, Celadon Road donates 1% of each consultants annual sales to the charity of their choice.  Natural, organic, green, fairly traded and charitable - way cool!

They currently have over 175 consultants nationwide.  They were recently featured in the October issue of Woman's Dayalong with two other direct sales companies as the best of the up-and-coming direct sales opportunities out there.  Now that 22 million more women know about this company, you can bet that Celadon Road will soon be a household name.

Plus, you have a chance to get your hands on two of their products with a giveaway at the end of this review!

Available in Strawberry, Blueberry, Grape,
Chocolate, Vanilla or Peppermint with or without SPF 15

The first product I tried was the Green Alligator (children's line) peppermint lip balm with SPF 15.  I come from a family that loves a good lip balm.  My wife keeps one next to the bedside to apply every night during the winter, and my previous jobs often required me to work outside, so I was always battling chapped lips.  Even though this is a product for kids, I found it to be very helpful.  My child is only 19 months, so she wasn't ready for lip balm.  Formulated with the tiniest lips in mind, this lip balm is created with only certified organic ingredients - that means no GMO's, petroleum or gluten.  I found that it was comparable to a Burt's Bees or the stick variety of Carmex (minus the petroleum smell, obviously).  The peppermint flavor was refreshing and not over powering.

A gentle, baby friendly soap
with a light lavender fragrance.

The second product that I put to use was the Green Alligator Aloe Baby Soap.  My daughter has very sensitive skin, so I was interested to see how she reacted to this soap.  I am happy to report that there were no problems!  The soap was gentle and didn't dry out her skin.  Plus, we usually use liquid soap for her, so having a bar in the tub was like having another toy, only this one slipped away!  There is a light lavender fragrance that leaves your entire bathroom smelling wonderful.  Being a natural, organic soap, it does leave a white film on top of the tub water, but this is common with natural soaps.  It all washed away with the water and there was no residue left on the tub.  This is a great option of a child with sensitive skin, especially since it will last longer than the liquid Aveeno.

Earthworms are available in red, yellow, blue and green
and are for children six months and older.
The next little guy I got to know was the ImagiPLAY Green Earthworm.  This friendly fella was my daughter's favorite.  He is made of natural, eco-friendly rubberwood and painted with child safe paint.  This is a great gift for a baby around six months old.  The toy helps them learn to grip things as they manipulate the body of the worm into various contortions.  To give you some perspective, this guy is about eight inches long and the beads are approximately one inch in diameter.

My wife says she will keep buying this
if I keep washing windows!
Natalie was kind enough to send me some household products in addition to the Green Alligator baby products.  One of the products she sent, and I think my wife secretly told her to send it, was the Lemon Mint Glass Cleaner.  Let me just say, I am THRILLED about this product!  I hate the ammonia smell of most glass cleaners, and I hate trying to clean when there is a toddler at my ankles.  I can use this product safely around a toddler (and let her help when she's older without fear of ammonia in my eyes!), and my reward is the same streak-free, clean windows that I am used to with our regular glass cleaner.  The smell is AMAZING, and I think there is even a secret ingredient to make you actually want to clean windows all the time.  LOVE IT!

Soft clean hands without the alcohol smell.
The last product I tried was the Hand Sanitizer.  I am not usually a hand sanitizer kind of guy, but my wife is always using the stuff, mostly because her job puts her in some not so clean places.  My biggest pet peeve about hand sanitizers is the smell.  I don't want to smell like alcohol when I clean my hands.  This natural hand sanitizer from Celadon Road actually has NO SMELL.  None.  In addition, since it is not alcohol based, it does not dry out your hands, stain your clothing or leave a sticky residue.  This is a great alternative to traditional hand sanitizers.

Well folks, there you have it.  Celadon Road has earned the Real Matt Daddy stamp of approval, and now you have the chance to get your hands on some Celadon Road products for FREE!  Just enter the giveaway below.  Also, if you are interested in how you can become a Celadon Road consultant, please contact Natalie by visiting her website.

  1. Ladies, you must try the Lavendar peppermint sugar scrub! It smells so good. I've been using it for a few months and it makes my hands and feet so smooth!

  2. Thanks! If anyone else has used their other products, please let us know!

  3. I just bought some Green Alligator Baby Wash and Shampoo from Celadon Road. It's similar to the bar soap but in liquid form. It smells just as amazing as the bar soap reviewed on this blog. I love that they utilize ONLY pure, organic or wildcrafed ingredients. I just recently discovered that even the Johnson's & Johnson's that I've been using for over 5 years on my babies has some pretty scary chemicals in it.

  4. Another product I have tried is the laundry detergent. It comes in many scents and my favorites are Lavendar and Jasmine. My husband loves the Cedar scent! This laundry detergent smells so good and it's very gentle. You only need about a tablespoon per full load of laundry. It's really great!

  5. I just cleaned out my van with the Lemon Mint Glass Cleaner and Lavendar Eucalyptus All purpose Cleaner! Smells like a spa!

  6. The winner is Michelle! Natalie will be emailing you soon to get your contact information. CONGRATULATIONS!
