The Mentoring Project

27 Million Youth in our country are growing up without fathers. One third of these will never see their dads.

Fatherlessness is the engine driving our worst social crises from teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, gang violence, high-school dropouts, teen abortion and suicide.

One of the best ways to reach the fatherless generation is through intentional, intergenerational mentoring. The fatherless generation will never believe our gospel - that God can be their father - unless we show up in their lives with the same intimacy that Jesus showed up in ours at the incarnation.

Missional, incarnational, and faithful presence is the best way to reach the fatherless generation, and by training some 700 mentors in the past year, The Mentoring Project is one of those leading this charge.

The Mentoring Project has an opportunity to receive a $50,000 grant from Giving of Life.
If you believe in their cause, please take a minute to vote for them HERE.

  1. The very best things I've done in my life have been mentoring! I was a Big Brother twice and currently mentor a young man with a fatal disease - who has symptoms of autism. It's sad, of course, but it makes him AND me feel good. Isn't that our purpose on this earth?
